Change of owner
Buying or selling a pet? Change the owner safely.
One e-contract you both sign, after a clinic checks the pet.
From start to handover
- 1 · Register your pet and confirm its chipOnce, at any vet clinic: the clinic confirms your pet's microchip on wasmID.
- 2 · Start the contract from your accountWrite the buyer's email and the price you agreed. The buyer joins with their own account.
- 3 · A clinic checks the pet for the saleThe buyer sees the confirmed chip and the clinic's check before anyone signs. A pet reported missing can't change owner.
- 4 · Both of you signEach signs alone, from their own account. wasmID checks the contract and authenticates it. The buyer pays you the price directly.
- 5 · HandoverWhen the buyer confirms they've received the pet, ownership moves and is kept in its permanent record.
We follow the laws of Saudi Arabia and apply them to every change of owner: both people declare they are owners, not traders, we suspend any account that breaks the law, and we inform the competent authorities when required.

Questions about change of owner
Does wasmID sell or list pets?
No. wasmID doesn't list animals for sale. It protects a change of owner that two people have already agreed on: it checks the chip and records and authenticates the contract.
Is the ownership history an official document?
No. It's wasmID's own record of what both owners agreed. It doesn't replace any licence or permit from MEWA or other authorities, and alignment with official systems is a future plan only.
What if the pet isn't as described?
The price is agreed and paid directly between the two owners; wasmID doesn't hold it. The clinic's check before a sale and the signed contract are both owners' record of what was agreed.
